Before his current endeavors, JB had a successful career, first at Arthur Andersen in Paris and then at Morgan Stanley in London, working on high-profile deals that honed his skills in investment banking such as the hostile takeover of Elf by Total and the Air France IPO. He then moved to BC Partners in 2004. Over two decades at BC Partners, JB held key positions including Partner, Chief Investment Officer (CIO), and Chair of Investment Committee. His leadership and strategic vision were instrumental in driving the firm’s growth, managing funds totaling €40 billion, and spearheading a total of ten investments across diverse sectors such as agriculture, animal health, and consumer goods. His tenure at BC Partners cemented his reputation as a top performer and thought leader in private equity.

His philanthropic efforts reflect a profound dedication to education and health, with significant donations aimed at creating a lasting, positive change.
Outside of his professional endeavors, JB enjoys a wide range of interests during his personal time, including reading, traveling, and enjoying nature. An avid sailor and cyclist, he finds solace in outdoor activities that allow him to connect with the world around him. Above all, JB cherishes spending time with his loved ones, with his wife being a central role as a source of inspiration and support as a wife, mother, grandmother and entrepreneur in her own right.
In reflecting on his journey, JB offers sage advice to aspiring professionals: “Work hard but remember that investing is a long game. Don’t exhaust yourself in the early years and remember that success takes time. You have the time to achieve your goals.” This wisdom encapsulates his approach to both career and life, emphasizing patience, perseverance, and the importance of maintaining a balanced perspective while striving to accomplish your goals.
